Which espn analyst was fired for poor grammar

The nerve of those proper, grammar-loving bastards! They let perhaps the unintentionally funniest commentator in the history of sport go, simply because he doesn't use proper sentence structure or actual NFL knowledge or real words?

We all should have seen this coming, as Emmitt was booted off of NFL Sunday Countdown this season in favor of being simply on Monday Night coverage, but the shock is still there.

Between the end of the George W. Bush era and the fact that Emmitt is done on ESPN, knowing that there is nobody left on TV to make me feel better about my own butchering of the English language will be a tough pill to swallow.

I know many others are on my proverbial boat. But don't worry Emmitt, I got your back. I understand the genius behind the awkwardly Northern-sounding Southern accent and I appreciate your two years of service in front of the camera. And if there's anything that has been made abundantly clear throughout all the shake-ups, both those that ESPN caused and otherwise , it's that no one's job is guaranteed to last forever.

I'm sure Clayton would have a pretty good stat to bring up about it. Before he even hit his 20s, John Clayton was making a name for himself in sports news, first covering the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp in He stuck with team coverage for a few years, working with different Pittsburgh-set publications, as well as radio shows, and it was in the mids that Clayton moved out to Washington to cover the Seattle Seahawks.

While he's known for a ton of things, he's perhaps most notable for a pair of projects. One was the debate show Four Downs , in which he had often heated verbal sparring matches with the former NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury who was memorably fired for taking pictures of his genitals and showing them to people. The other is for the commercial seen below, widely thought of to be one of ESPN's very best. He's got time to grow.

But why does he have to be so annoying? Kenny's the best interviewer of the SportsCenter hosts. But he tends to push the issue a little too far, and can be abrasive. Exhibit A: Floyd Mayweather. She's not the worst of the SC anchors. But I tend to get an itchy remote hand when she comes on. I'm not entirely sure what Jacobson brings to the First and 10 crew. But there has to be something, right? Much like Stuart Scott, there are those who don't like Everett.

That tie on the other hand, is awful. Haber had a couple of really good commercials for SportsCenter. It's too bad he never did anything of note on the actual show. Berthiaume has one volume: loud. And sportscasters with one volume tend to annoy me. So Steve's on the board. I've seen Chris Fowler in person.

He's crazy ripped. Which is why I'm scared of putting him on the list. He was an SC anchor in the early 90's and it didn't go well. I hope he doesn't rip me in half like a phone book for saying this. Golic's had the occasional guest host spot on SC over the years. He really should stick to radio. Could have fallen into the Stuart Scott category, except that she insulted an Ohio University player when he was hurt.

She thought she was off air, and seemed genuinely irritated that he had the gall to get injured. Once he found his calling, a star was born. Before that, it was painful for everyone. I don't know why, but I cannot stand Robert Flores.

He makes me change the channel whenever he's hosting SC. But there are those who like him, so he goes in the middle. He's much better talking about left-hand turns. Also like Tirico, Brando's stint was excruciating.
