Why does mail merge skip records




















The 3rd record has the score from Row 5 and it is duplicated on the 4th record. I have a setup a bit like what you are after, I will add it as an image, to see if it helps. Trying to print 4 documents to a page in Word going into the print options and selecting 4 per page just prints 1 record in the top corner and the rest are blank.

I am making raffle tickets and have to a page, but on subsequent pages it goes back to the second value. For example: I have ticket number , , on page one and then page two goes , , … how can I keep it going consecutively? I too was going by the merge preview, and it looked like my records were duplicating. But when I actually ran the merge to a new document, they all came out only once and in sequence. I designed a full page student card and merged it to my students list. I finished the merge and clicked edit individual document and selected all.

When this is complete I clicked file then print and chosen 8 pages per sheet. Try it. I added a "test" record to the beginning of the list, and when I merged to a document, 3 records were still missing, but the last record that was previously missing now appears, and the record immeidately before the one that was previously missing is now missing. By the way, this same problem happens whether I use a word document as the data source, or, as I tried yesterday, exported it to an excel spreadsheet and use that as the source.
